The Holidays Have Arrived at Impact
Impact Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center is a place of miracles. We get to see men and women come to us and, sometimes quickly, recreate their lives. It's our belief that our job is to remove as many barriers as we can between our patient's and their recovery. It's why we work so hard to provide them with as many opportunities to grow as we can.
During the holiday season, we provide our patients with the opportunity to give their children presents. It's a small act that can add a tremendous amount of self-esteem. So many that find their way to Impact were leading lives of unstructured isolation. Repairing the damage they've created with their family is only one part of a life-long puzzle.
Your Contributions Make This Possible
As a nonprofit organization, Impact relies on the contributions of our supporters to make programs such as this one possible. A key principle that we attempt to teach our clients is that we cannot do this alone, and that a life in recovery is a life of connections.
We have found the same to be true as an organization. The friends and family that we have made along the way are the ones that continue to show up when we need help.
Spreading Holiday Cheer
It's our job to continue to show up for our clients. On Christmas morning, Impact staff play Santa. We put stockings at the doors of all of our residents, filled with gifts and items that will spread joy and help them on their journey in recovery. We also give them gifts to give to their children, whether they can be present with them or not.
The smiles that occur that day are a testament to the impact that we can have on the men and women that seek our help. It's a consistent reminder of why we do what we do.
