As we begin a new year at Impact, we look ahead to a bright future filled with growth, healing, and new opportunities. In doing so, we recognize the importance of also looking back, reflecting on the previous year to celebrate our accomplishments, identify areas for growth, and, most importantly, express deep gratitude for the many miracles that we were able to experience throughout the past year.
Each year, one of the most humbling and gratifying moments at Impact is our end-of-year holiday tradition of showering our patients with gifts, love, and a true sense of community. With the direct support of the incredible members of the extended Impact family, comprised of our community partners, collaborating organizations, and dedicated staff, 2025 marked yet another incredible celebration of recovery, compassion, and care.
Arriving at the residential facility before the sun illuminated the Christmas morning sky, staff members quietly moved throughout the grounds, placing gifts and stockings at the doors of each patient’s room. Once preparations were complete, the fire alarm was rung, and patients stepped out to discover the surprises waiting for them, many experiencing a moment of joy they no longer believed they could feel.
This tradition extends far beyond our residential patients. Their children were also included, receiving gifts and ensuring that the spirit of the season would not be lost, despite the separation from their parent. In addition, every member of our outpatient programs and transitional living homes received gifts for themselves and their children. We believe that this support is more than a simple holiday gesture, it is an opportunity to show our patients that they are cared for and valued during a time of year that is often painful and isolating.

As is true each year, none of this would be possible without the immense generosity, compassion, and commitment of the Impact community. Our community partners, donors, and staff not only provided resources, but they also proved a shining example of the miracles of recovery. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every person who played a role in making this tradition possible. Your unwavering kindness ensured that our patients had the holiday that they deserved and may have even provided that spark to remain committed to their personal journey of healing.
